Editorial policy
Eastern Fashion Review aims to make claims about clothing clear, proportionate and checkable. We distinguish description from interpretation, explain relevant terms and do not present taste as fact.
Accuracy and context
We review articles for clarity and factual consistency before publication. Historical claims and technical descriptions should be supported by suitable source material; where evidence or interpretation is limited, the wording should say so. We avoid sweeping claims about cultures, periods, bodies or clothing practices.
Independence and disclosure
Editorial decisions are made for the publication's readers. Any paid, gifted or otherwise partner-supported material is identified clearly near the material it supports. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage, and commercial arrangements do not determine editorial conclusions.
Corrections
If a published detail is wrong or unclear, readers can contact us with the passage and the reason for concern. We assess the information, correct substantive errors and make the change clear when the correction affects a reader's understanding.
Illustrations and generated images
Some illustrations may be AI-generated. They are used as illustrations, not evidence of an actual garment, person, event or historical object, and are labelled where they appear.
Look closely before you label a look
Clothing is designed from many small decisions. We examine those decisions in plain language so readers can form their own view.
